What is the Pinnacle Scholarship?The Pinnacle Scholarship is an award issued by the Alpha Psi Pi and Rho Gamma Chapters that is designed
to increase access to the benefits of joining Phi Theta Kappa. By helping students pay for membership when they simply cannot afford it, this scholarship will waive the fees associated with becoming a full member.
When do I apply?
The Alpha Psi Pi and Rho Gamma Chapters will offer six (6) Pinnacle Scholarships annually, three in the fall semester and three in the spring semester. Applications for the fall scholarship must be recieved by November 1. Applications for the spring scholarship must be recieved by April 1.
What is the criteria for applying?
Students who wish to apply for the Pinnacle Scholarship must be eligible and invited to join Phi Theta Kappa during the semester in which the student applies for the scholarship.
Eligibility requirements for membership to Phi Theta Kappa include the completion of at least 12 college-level credits and have earned a cumulative G.P.A. of at least 3.5.
The student must demonstrate a financial need for the scholarship and submit an essay on the topic, “What I would do to give back to the chapter and/or college or community if I receive the Pinnacle Scholarship.” The essay shall be 250 words or less and can be submitted by completing the online application by the appropriate deadlines. All submissions must include the applicant's name and A#.
When will I be notifed if my application was seelcted?
Scholarship recipients will be notified via their RCSJ email by the end of the semester in which they applied.
