Student Right to Know

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​In 2008, the Higher Education Opportunity Act became law, reauthorizing the Higher Education Act for the first time since 1998. This law is intended to help students and parents become more informed when making decisions about higher education. With this goal in mind, Rowan College South Jersey has developed this website to better educa​te students, parents and the College community. The Parent and Student Consumer Information Act​

The Parent and Student Consumer Information Act (P.L. 2021, c.349), a law originally passed in 2009, requires institutions to provide information to the public concerning student loan indebtedness, cost of attendance, graduation rates, and faculty composition.

Student External Complaint Process

A student may file directly with relevant Accreditation, State, and Federal agencies that investigate discrimination/harassment charges in addition to utilizing internal procedures.  

An external complaint must be filed directly with the appropriate agency.

​Gainful Employment​​

In October 2010, the U.S. Department of Education published final regulations in the Federal Register requiring institutions to report certain information about students enrolled in Title IV eligible educational programs that lead to gainful employment in a recognized occupation (GE programs). Those regulations also provide that institutions must disclose to prospective students certain information about the institutional GE Programs. All Undergraduate Credit Certificate Programs offered at Rowan College South Jersey are considered GE programs.
