Welding

With our welding technology program, we train and certify our students to a level of competency in line with welding industry standards.  Our welding program provides students with the required foundation to craft a future in Welding.

What You'll Learn

Welding Safety

Students will:

  • Identify common hazards in welding
  • Explain and identify proper personal protection used in welding
  • Describe proper material handling methods

 

Oxyfuel Cutting

Students will:

  • Identify and explain the use of oxyfuel cutting equipment. 
  • Perform oxyfuel cutting:  straight line and square shapes; piercing and slot cutting; bevels; washing; gouging. ​​

 

Financing

The Welding Technology I course introduces students to welding safety, become familiar with welding equipment, and learn welding skills as it pertains to shielded metal arc welding and oxy-fuel gas cutting. Upon completion of the course, students will take the AWS D1.1 certification.
