Admissions
Certified Clinical Medical Assistant is a selective admissions program.
Graduates of the CCMA program earn a Certificate of Achievement and are eligible to receive certification from the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) in ECG/EKG, Phlebotomy, and Medical Assisting. All courses in the certificate also count as electives toward the AAS Health Science degree at RCSJ Gloucester.
The program is two semesters in length, with the second semester culminating in a 5-week clinical rotation experience. At this time, all CMA courses must be taken in person and it is a daytime, weekday program. Some general education courses do have the ability to be completed online.
Admission to CCMA is competitive; the number of seats per year depends entirely on clinical site availability and faculty availability. Please keep this in mind as you prepare for your application – minimum required grades do not mean automatic acceptance.
Students must be accepted to the program before registering for any (CCMA) courses.
