​​The Rowan College South Jersey Minority Initiative on Leadership and Excellence aims to improve the community college experience for minority students. The program’s focus is to enhance  minority retention and graduation rates by providing mentorship, transformative learning excursions, service learning projects, leadership development seminars, networking opportunities and resources for academic and professional growth. The MILE Program develops the skills of talented students of traditionally marginalized communities, to help them become exemplary leaders in the public, private and nonprofit sectors.
