The Residence at South College Drive is committed to providing
safe, independent, and supportive housing for adults with disabilities and neurodiverse individuals. Our goal is to foster
self-sufficiency by offering access to vital resources that promote
personal growth, community engagement, and life skills development.
Who Can Apply?
The Residence at South College Drive is
not campus housing and is open to applicants who meet the following criteria:

Age 18 or older
✅
Has a disability and qualifies for special education services under IDEA (SS300.304 – 300.11), including but not limited to:
- Intellectual disability
- Hearing impairment (including deafness)
- Speech or language impairment
- Visual impairment (including blindness)
- Emotional disturbance
- Orthopedic impairment
- Autism
- Traumatic brain injury
- Other health impairment
- Specific learning disability
- Deaf-blindness
- Multiple disabilities

Can live independently with sufficient social and emotional skills to follow reasonable rules.
Referral & Application Process
Prospective applicants must undergo an
independent living skills evaluation through the
RCSJ ACT program to be considered for referral to the
Housing Authority of Gloucester County.
Steps to Apply:

Complete Referral Questionnaire & Referral Assessment.
- Submit three recommendations
- Provide an Individualized Education Plan-IEP (if applicable)
& relevant evaluations
- Attend an in-person interview/assessment with an RCSJ ACT Social Worker to determine eligibility for referral to the Housing Authority of Gloucester County
