About NSO
Beginning your academic journey at Rowan College of South Jersey’s Gloucester Campus will be one of the most exciting times of your life. The New Student Orientation (NSO) serves as the first step in preparing you for this exciting opportunity at RCSJ. The purpose of the NSO is simple: to help you efficiently transition into college and empower you with the tools necessary to become academically successful. At the conclusion of the NSO, all students should meet with an advisor to begin selecting courses for the upcoming semester.
Important Update: RCSJ is transitioning to a new student experience for the enrollment process. As a result, course registration and enrollment following New Student Orientation may experience some delays throughout the month of July. RCSJ Advisors are actively working to support you and ensure a smooth registration experience. We appreciate your patience and are committed to assisting you with registration for the Summer or Fall 2025 semesters.
Choose from three New Student Orientation options below:
1. On-Campus New Student Orientation for New Students (Non-Transfer)Join us on-campus for your New Student Orientation! The On-Campus Orientation allows students to meet with RCSJ staff, take a campus tour and register with their advisors for upcoming classes at the end of the session.
Students attending the On-Campus Orientation must have a high school/college transcript and test scores from a placement exam or Accuplacer exam when attending. Call 856-468-5000 x2268 to schedule an Accuplacer Test prior to attending the NSO.

2. Self-Paced New Student Orientation for New Students (Non-Transfer)The Self-Paced Orientation offers an online, step-by-step guide with videos and important information that you will need to know before scheduling a meeting with your advisor. This Orientation session is self-paced and available online 24/7 for your convenience. Please note that you will need to complete the necessary steps as outlined in the Self-Paced Orientation and then
schedule a meeting with your advisor to begin registering for classes. Please note that beginning on August 12 all advising services will be handled through on-campus or virtual
Express Advising.

3. Self-Paced New Student Orientation for Transfer StudentsWe are excited you decided to become part of the RCSJ family! As a transfer student you have already invested time, money, and resources into your studies, so you know exactly what it takes to succeed. Our Self-Paced Transfer Orientation provides students who have already earned credits at another institution with an opportunity to successfully onboard and start your semester strong at RCSJ. Students who are participating in this event should visit
