This program combines general education with nursing courses to prepare students for entry-level nursing practice.
Program Goals
Upon successful completion of the program, graduates are eligible to apply to take the National Council Licensing Examination (NCLEX-RN) and apply to a Board of Nursing for licensure as registered nurses.
Admissions
Nursing is a selective admissions program. Students must be accepted to the program before registering for any nursing (NUR) courses.
Rowan College requires all students accepted into the nursing program to complete a criminal history background check (CHBC), a mandatory requirement of clinical agencies for patient care. Students denied the opportunity to participate in the clinical agency as a result of the CHBC will be dismissed from the nursing program.
