Rowan College of South Jersey's (RCSJ) Cumberland campus was recently awarded with the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs' (ACBSP) Certification of Accreditation. This achievement allows RCSJ to attain more global recognition for its student-oriented services.
Founded in 1988, ACBSP has member-campuses in 60 countries around the world and is the first organization to offer accreditation to all levels of collegiate business education degree programs, from associate to doctoral. The ACBSP accreditation process appraises aspects of college leadership, strategic planning, quality of academic programs, faculty credentials and educational support in making their decision.
The accreditation encompasses several Division of Business Studies' Cumberland-campus programs including Accounting A.A.S., Business Administration A.S., Digital Marketing A.A.S. and Human Resources Management A.S. These programs are fully transferable – course for course – to any of the other 1,200 ACBSP certified colleges and universities across the globe.
In 2021, the Gloucester campus was awarded with its own ACBSP international accreditation for its Business Studies Division. The Cumberland campus was formally awarded its Certificate of Accreditation at the ACBSP Conference 2022 Gala Dinner, held in Washington, D.C., earlier this month.
“There are numerous benefits to being ACBSP-accredited for our campus," said Michael Laun, administrative instructor, Division of Business Studies RCSJ-Cumberland. “These benefits include increased student value, professional development opportunities and events. It also includes networking and best practice sharing among other members and global recognition of our standards and Business Programs."
