Deptford Twp. – The Community Chorus of Rowan College of South Jersey
(RCSJ) will spread peace, love and holiday cheer to area residents during its
annual winter concert tour with two performances – one on Sunday, Dec. 1 at 4
p.m. at the Zion Lutheran Church in Bristol, Pennsylvania, and the second on
Tuesday, Dec. 3 at 7:30 p.m. at the Pitman United Methodist Church in Pitman.
Conductor Lawrence De Pasquale and accompanist Teresa Savage return to
lead an array of yuletide carols showcasing the 50-voice choir’s repertoire of
“Somewhere In My Memory,” “When Christmas Comes To Town,” “Deck The Hall,” and
“Sleigh Ride” along with “The Spirit of Hanukkah.” The choir’s Holiday Cheer Concert also treats
audiences to James Whitbourn’s “Missa Carolae” (soloist Erica Rose Smith /
piccolo Kimberly Zullo) and Charles Villiers Stanford’s “Magnificat in G Major”
(soloist Dawn Jurkewicz)
Both performances
are open to the public and not ticketed.
There is a suggested goodwill offering of $7 per person to support the
John V. Chard Memorial Scholarship Fund.
The choral scholarship is awarded annually to selected applicants who
are pursuing studies in higher education either at RCSJ or other local
schools. For more information, call
