Join the South Jersey Artist Collective and Rowan College of South Jersey
(RCSJ) at the College’s Gloucester campus on Friday, March 25 for an exploration
of the coronavirus pandemic’s influence on local artists. From 5-7 p.m., visitors
to the Dr. Ross Beitzel Art Gallery will have the opportunity to meet the
artists of the Rapid Response Collection and discuss their work.
Throughout history, art has served as a reflection of the times in which
it was created and the experiences of its creators. The Rapid Response Collection highlights the talent
of 40+ South Jersey artists – representing a wide range of ages, backgrounds,
and artistic mediums – and invites them to share how the pandemic has led them
to explore new themes, embrace different materials, or trial novel techniques.
The Dr. Ross Beitzel Art Gallery is housed in
the Eugene J. McCaffrey College Center on RCSJ’s Gloucester campus, located at 1400
Tanyard Road, Sewell. Directions are available at RCSJ.edu/Visit/Gloucester.
