The Arts & Innovation Center (AIC) of Rowan College of South Jersey (RCSJ) is hosting its 2022 Fine Arts Exhibition. This exhibit will showcase the work of Fine Arts majors and runs from May 2 to May 13.

Works featured at this event include a variety of paintings, drawings, sculptures, and ceramics, which will be on display in the AIC Main Gallery.

“This student exhibit gives art majors an opportunity to present their work in a professional setting,” said Jacqueline Sandro-Greenwell, director of Fine Arts and Clay College of RCSJ. “This is an event that parents, guardians and loved ones can attend to see the beautiful artwork the students have made over the year.”

Sandro-Greenwell noted that exhibits like these leave an indelible impact on Fine Arts majors.

“Students experience a sense of pride when their work is on display,” she revealed. “Hearing and seeing how the public reacts to the work, usually in a positive way, builds confidence and allows the students to understand why they create – while encouraging them to talk about their work.

“It is also a learning experience on how to enter an exhibit.”

The 2022 Fine Arts Exhibition also includes an Artist Reception, which takes place on Friday, May 13, from 5-7 p.m.

The AIC is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m.-9 p.m. and on Saturdays from noon-5 p.m.
