    The Bioscience Technologies option provides students with the basic course requirements necessary to satisfy the first three years of a baccalaureate degree in Bioscience Technologies (biotechnology, cytotechnology, medical technology) at a transfer institution. In the biotechnology field, biological and engineering principles are used to develop products and techniques for advances in gene therapy, new tests to diagnose and pharmaceuticals to treat a variety of diseases or new ways of studying the molecular and genetic structure of cells.

This program is designed to be approachable, practical, and a good foundation for further study. The Associate in Science (AS) degree in Cyber Security is designed to provide two academic years of college study for transfer to a four-year college or university. The program at RCSJ-Cumberland is designed to be approachable, practical, and a good foundation for further study at any four-year college or university. For those looking to stay close to home, students are able to take advantage of the partnership with Wilmington University. Our credits seamlessly transfer into their Computer and Network Security Bachelor of Science program. These courses may be taken at the University Center.​

    Veterinary technicians are professionals with a large scope of practice dedicated to animal health care who serve as vital members of the veterinary medical team and are trusted with diverse medical responsibilities, including animal care and nursing, basic and advanced life support, laboratory procedures (sampling, handling, and analysis), pharmacy and pharmacology, physical therapy, surgical nursing, anesthesia (induction, maintenance, and monitoring), pain management and analgesia, dentistry, diagnostic imaging (radiographs, ultrasound, CT, and MR), emergency and critical care, nutritional management, patient advocacy, pet owner education, and promotion of public health.
