Commencement Time Change
Due to current weather reports, we have made the difficult decision to move the start time of both campus Commencement ceremonies to 10 a.m. on Thursday and Friday. We understand the strain this may put on you and your family’s schedules, but we hope to provide an enjoyable experience and one that does not need to be canceled entirely.

Commencement details can be found on the webpage at RCSJ.edu/Commencement. Graduates, please check your college email for detailed information.

Gloucester Fire Academy

Fire Academy

The Gloucester County Fire Academy offers high-quality, timely training in tactics, techniques and safety. Instruction is provided in one of three spacious classrooms, with the latest in audio and visual instructional aids. 

Practical training is available in:

  • Class A burn building
  • Full-sized aircraft trainer
  • Realistic ranch-style smokehouse dwelling
  • Live fire training offered through many field props
  • Roof Simulator
  • Confined Space props

The Gloucester County Fire Academy prides itself on offering a full range of mandatory training courses as well as a large selection of specialty programs for fire and emergency response services.  All programs are delivered by state-certified instructors and, where needed, staff with specialized knowledge in such areas as emergency medical services, specialized rescue and industrial fire brigade training.

In addition to the many courses offered at the academy, customized training for emergency services organizations, businesses, and industry is also offered. Furthermore, the Fire Academy offers satellite programming for many organizations, the New Jersey Division of Fire Safety and Kean University.
