The Rowan College-Gloucester Library is a welcoming center for studying, working on computers, and doing research, with comfortable seating and various types of study areas (quiet study, study booths, collaborative study rooms). Books & Media
The College's physical collection of print books and media (including DVDs and CDs) is searchable via the online catalog at www.login-libraries.org. This catalog also contains the holdings of other member libraries in the LOGIN consortium. Your valid, barcoded college library/ID card may be used to check out books and other materials from LOGIN member libraries. As an academic library, RowanSJ uses the Library of Congress Classification system with call numbers serving as the book's address on the shelf.
Children's Lit
This section of children's books is for education students and visiting children alike.
Circulation Desk (856-415-2252)
The main Circulation Desk is the place to validate your RowanSJ ID card every semester, check out and return books & DVDs, request Reserves materials, and make interlibrary loan requests. The smaller Circulation Desk by the library's back exit is for checking out books and for ID validation.
Computers, Laptops, & Printers
The Library offers over 100 computers (laptop and desktop), 4 CAD/ Computer Graphic Arts computers, and 3 printers. Students use their Rowan College username and password to log on to computers on campus. Guests may sign for a temporary username and password at the Research Help Desk. Technical Support staff assists with any printing, Office program, or other tech issues that students may experience.
Printers/Copiers print in color or black and white, on single or double-sided paper. Students may print with their per-semester credit connected to their usernames, and the Technical Support desk has a price list. These machines also function as free scanners to email or USB. The library does not have a public fax machine.
