Join us as we welcome you all back to campus for IN-PERSON Job Readiness, Computer Skills, and Life Skills Workshops.

All sessions are FREE of charge and open to the public.

  • Resume Building (9/09/24) - Participants will learn the basics of creating and revising a work resume. Participants will also learn the hiring process of reviewing work resumes. 
  • Writing Cover Letter (9/11/24) - Participants will learn the basics of constructing and revising a cover letter.
  • Interview Skills / Mock Interviews (9/16/24) - Participants will learn and practice appropriate interviewing techniques and strategies.

  • Keyboarding 101 (11/04/24) - Participants will learn the basic functions of the computer keyboard. Participants will also learn helpful typing strategies. Participants will also learn the basics of Zoom functions.
  • Intro to Microsoft Word (11/06/24) - Participants will learn the basic functions, how to operate, and how to utilize Microsoft Word.
  • Intro to Excel (11/25/24) - Participants will be introduced to basic excel functions and formulas.
  • PowerPoint (11/27/24) - Participants will learn the basic functions, how to operate, and how to utilize PowerPoint.

  • Professional Development (12/02/24) - Participants will learn core development skills regarding professionalism within the workplace. 
  • Effective Leadership & Management (12/04/24) - Participants will learn effective management strategies. These strategies include communication skills, active listening skills, delegation skills, training skills, and conflict resolution skills.  
  • Work-life Balance (12/09/24) - Participants will learn the importance of maintaining a work-life balance. Participants will further learn how to properly manage burnout in the workplace. 
  • Social media in the Workplace (12/11/24) - Participants will learn how to navigate using social media professionally.
