Arts & Sciences: Physics Option, A.S. (Gloucester)

​The Arts & Sciences –​ Physics option provides two years of concentrated study for students planning to pursue a baccalaureate degree in physics or related disciplines. To enrich the educational experience, humanities and social science electives are incorporated.

Program Goals
Students who have completed the program will be able to:

  • Successfully transfer to four-year institutions to continue pursuit of a scientific degree in the physics sciences or related disciplines.
  • ​Understand and apply fundamental principles to the study of science overall, including health sciences​
  • Develop and demonstrate the basic skill set, techniques and procedures required to do laboratory work in physics and physics-related sciences
